Electric Pulse: Flash Club by Mode Interior Design Channels the Energy of Sci-Fi Spectacle

Nestled in the alpine town of Bansko, Bulgaria, Flash Club is far more than a nightclub—it’s a futuristic theatre of light, sound, and movement. Spanning 465 square metres, the club reimagines nightlife through the lens of cinematic fantasy, taking bold inspiration from the visual language of Tron: Legacy. The result is a sensory voyage that dissolves the boundaries between architecture, design, and immersive experience.

Conceived by the multidisciplinary studio Mode Interior Design, the project embraces a science fiction aesthetic where light is not just a feature—it is material. “The force of the sound, the flash of light, the transfusion of spaces,” they explain, describing how architecture becomes responsive and alive, shaped by the presence and motion of people within.

At the concept's core lies the circle—a powerful geometric motif that informs the spatial choreography. From the circular VIP podiums arranged amphitheatrically, to the dry bar’s seemingly endless beam of light that connects and graphically defines the space, every element contributes to a unified, flowing experience. These beams, paired with mirrored surfaces and dynamic lighting, create a visual illusion of infinite motion—echoing the club’s pulsing soundscape and rhythm.

The walls and ceilings refract and reflect movement, generating an ever-changing spatial narrative. The design avoids rigid demarcations, instead crafting continuous, curved surfaces that envelop guests in a fluid, sci-fi amphitheatre. Every detail, from the infinite light corridors of the restrooms to the graphic interplay of reflections, is conceived to evoke teleportation—distorting time, perception, and reality.

Behind the bold vision is Mode Interior Design, a Bulgarian studio established in 2003. Known for their collaborative ethos and detail-oriented approach, the team works fluidly across disciplines—engaging architects, artists, and digital designers to create environments that blur the boundaries of imagination and built form. With a portfolio that spans private residences to large-scale commercial venues, Mode is adept at tackling unconventional design briefs with innovation, precision, and a deep understanding of material and atmosphere.

Flash Club isn’t simply designed to be seen; it is designed to be felt—a multidimensional playground of light and sound where architecture becomes experience, and every visit transforms into a scene from a film not yet made.
